The new electronic customs system for yachts and small boats visiting Gibraltar has been introduced promising to speed up waiting times by allowing vessels to pre-enter details relevant to their customs clearance.more here

14.08.2012HMS Pickle returns home

The superyachts of Ocean Village Gibraltar will be joined by the historic vessel that relaid news of victory at Trafalgar and of Nelson’s death back to Britain. This epic ship will be permanently moored in the marina and opened as a visitor attraction.more here

11.06.2012Import Duty on Yachts over 18m abolished

In what should prove to be a major boost to the territory’s maritime sector the government have announced reforms to Import Duty on yachts. Together with the recent improvements in the yacht registry this makes Gibraltar one of the most attractive home ports on the Mediterranean.more here

Over 160 boats converged on Ocean Village Marina Gibraltar to celebrate the Jubilee with a Flotilla that sailed from Ocean Village around the Rock of Gibraltar.more here

It’s fashion with a purpose on the 30th of September in Ocean Village Marina Gibraltar. The swimmers of the GASA will be showing the latest collections from Gibraltar’s finest fashion boutiques and designer suppliers. All profits will go to their fundraising to send a team to the 2013 Island Games. more here

03.09.2011 – Sailors paddle for survival in Gibraltar’s Cardboard Boat Race.

The now infamous annual Ocean Village-sponsored Cardboard Boat Race took place on Saturday 3 September under bright blue skies.The soggy sailors battled the calm marina waters in front of a large animated crowd with their varying degrees of success providing an entertaining spectacle. more here
